TRY HARD, WORK HARD

September 2020

Charlotte and her Mother Roberta Basch would often use the Twulshootseed phrase "ṕaʔcut tibicut" within their family. As an athlete, Charlotte was interested in wearing apparel that reflected her family and Twulshootseed culture and reached out to Irene, who reached out to Paige for the design. The design is based on one of the most powerful plants that grow in the Pacific Northwest, Stinging Nettles.

April 2020

At the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic when there was a lot of uncertainty, Paige and Irene came up with a graphic representing a dance that blesses the land with medicine. As the song says in Twulshootseed "This is healing" composed by Kayla Guyett.
